I finally acknowledged my call to serve in the helping professions after a season of deep loss in my life. In a span of seven months I lost three dear family members. In the following years of grief I was supported by friends, family, clergy, and my therapist. Healing came slowly, and out of the pain grew a new sense of purpose in my life.
Having served as a hospice chaplain and bereavement counselor, I have had the privilege of accompanying others as they navigate the waters of deep grief. If you are in such a season of grief and need additional support, please consider reaching out.
